Folk singer Negi’s latest album released

Dehradun, 30 Dec: An MP3 album, “Salanya Syali”, sung by famous Garhwali folk singer Narender Singh Negi, was released today under the banner of ‘Himalayan Films’, the first audio-video company of Uttarakhand. He has been accompanied by Manju Sundriyal.
The CD was released Uttarakhand Agitationist Kamla Pant.

The CD is a collection of songs that represent the struggle of the common man in everyday life.

The last song of the album, “Tum bhi Suna”, comments on the report of the Dixit Commission and reiterates the demand for making “Gairsen” the Capital of Uttarakhand. In this song, he also describes the functioning of all the political parties operating in Uttarakhand.
Kamla Pant praised Narendra Singh Negi’s work and expressed the hope that he would have a long career ahead, so that he could spread his message to the upcoming generation through his songs.

Mohan Lakhera, Director of Himalayan Films, proposed the vote of thanks. Present on the occasion were Usha Negi and General Secretary of the Uttarakhand Films Association, Rajendra Singh Rawat. The function was conducted by Madan Mohan Duklan.
